Dr. Chery is a product of the American dream, born to parents in South Florida who immigrated to our great state from Haiti in hopes of providing their children a brighter future. He is a proud USF Bull, having graduated with an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science. He went on to Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN to complete his dental training. During dental school, Dr. Chery became a National Health Service Corp (NHSC) scholar, meaning he committed himself to providing oral health care to underserved and underprivileged populations.
Dr. Chery worked as a general dentist at a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC) while also serving as the dental director of two busy and bustling offices for several years. He was called to take an official plunge into the world of pediatric dental residency and completed his postdoctoral training at the prestigious Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, FL in 2021.
In his spare time, Dr. Chery is an accomplished amateur photographer, loves to read, learn new languages, and is a music aficionado (jazz and big band are his jam). He loves boxing, cycling, and playing basketball. We think Dr. Chery is awesome (psst! He sings to the kids while he works!), and I’m confident you and your littles will too.
